Most people know that it's important to clean their house regularly. But, not everybody knows that the seasons affect how we should clean our homes. So, if you're looking for a new approach to cleaning your home or just want to do a better job of keeping your house as spotless as possible, read on! Here are some tips I've learned through years of cleaning homes and helping others do the same:

Summer - House Washing

House washing is a great way to keep your home looking clean and fresh. It's most common in spring and summer, as it’s when you want your house to be at its most colorful and inviting, and when the pollen count is the highest! You can do a house wash with either a pressure washer or a garden hose. The latter is good for removing mold, mildew and dirt from the exterior of your home. The former uses high-pressure water jets to remove any debris from the exterior of your home as well as stains on siding that may have been there for years. Hiring a professional to help is the best way to get the most effective cleaning for your home.

Fall - Window Cleaning

Window cleaning is a chore that most people don't like to do. Luckily, fall is the perfect time to get your windows looking clean and shiny again—without the hassle of summer heat or winter cold.

Shiny new windows are an important part of the exterior appearance of your home, so it's worth taking the time to make sure they're clean. The good news is that there are plenty of ways you can keep them looking great without having to spend hours scrubbing away!

Spring - Deck and Fence Cleaning

As the weather starts to warm, you may find yourself wanting to spend more time on your deck. You might even be tempted to start hosting barbecues or parties again. Before that happens, though, it's important that you clean off all of the dirt and grime from winter. This will make sure that your decks look its best throughout spring and summer.

If you have a wooden deck or fence, use a power washer with warm water (no soap) at low pressure in order to avoid damaging the wood. The same goes for any other outdoor furniture made of metal or plastic; use warm water only! Your goal is not just cleaning but also removing any dirt buildup so that nothing sticks when you're ready for some BBQ action later this summer.

The frequency depends on how much foot traffic there has been over winter: if there isn't much traffic then once every year should be sufficient; if there has been lots of activity then twice-yearly maintenance will keep things looking good longer into summer months before needing deep cleaning again next fall/winter cycle begins again
